1. It Ends with Us; Colleen Hoover (Rating 10/10)
An incredibly beautifully written book, in a style that is easy to read while also delivering a significant message. Lily, who has been fighting against violence since she was young, finds herself stuck in the present and attracting the same. Even though you may not believe it, and neither does she, both of you get drawn into all the lies, betrayals, and manipulation. The book portrays the abuse of women, the struggle, the violence, and what true love means. It delves deeply into the gentle nature of women and shows what we truly deserve and how we should not settle for less. I started reading it skeptically because of many negative comments, and I don’t want to be a spoiler alert (but I will) – the book is based on a true story! A must-read!
2. It Starts with Us; Colleen Hoover (Rating 9/10)
I really liked how the first part, “It Ends with Us,” ended, and I thought that was it. I never expected “It Starts with Us” to be such a beautiful and necessary addition. But it is. You read it in one breath. “It Starts with Us” shows the consequences of abuse in every form. You will truly put yourself in the shoes of our main heroine and feel all the fear. It shows how real, how tragic it is, and how even a happy ending is still overshadowed by pain and reminders of the abuse. Highly recommended, you’ll simply inhale both parts as they are so easy to read.

3. Homecoming; Kate Morton (Rating 8.2/10)
I got to know Kate Morton when I read her book “The Forgotten Garden” and realized what a brilliant mind she has. You’ll be solving a murder mystery, and until the very end, you’ll think you know the solution, but the incredible revelations will shock you. The story begins in 1959 – Tambila, Australia. The murder of four adults and one baby. An unemployed journalist returns home to Australia to visit her sick grandmother. The plot will make you question what you would do to cover up the crimes of your loved ones and what it truly means to come home and to your roots. The rating is a bit lower because I think some detailed descriptions were unnecessary to that extent, the book is quite long, but just push through because sometimes the most beautiful things are saved for the end!
4. The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo; Taylor Jenkins Reid (Rating 8/10)
The novel takes us back to the times of old Hollywood, evoking nostalgia for the past era of film and glamour while simultaneously revealing its harsh realities. Evelyn, the main heroine, faces racism, sexism, and homophobia, and our writer balances these heavy themes with the progression of the story. The plot is perfectly timed, divided into seven parts for each of Evelyn’s husbands, and she is calculating, looking out for her own interests, but she is also someone whose heart belongs to someone else and is finally ready for the whole world to know. You will meet various characters, and a mysterious yet flirtatious woman will enter her life… just to pique your interest. The ending will surprise you, although I would have preferred it to be less commercial, hence the slightly lower rating.

Book club # 6
Knjiga prikazuje zlostavljanje zena. Borba. Nasilje. I sta znaci prava ljubav.
Prikazuje posledice zlostavljanja u svakom obliku. Zaista cete se staviti u kozu nase glavna junakinje i oseticete sav strah. Pokazuje koliko je realno, koliko je tragicno i kako cak i srecan kraj jos uvek biva zasenjen bolom i podsetnikom na zlostavljanje. Takodje velika preporuka, oba dela cete naprosto udahnuti kako se lako citaju.

3.Povratak kuci ; Kejt Morton (ocena 8.2/10)
Sa Kejt Morton sam se upoznala kada sam citala njenu knjigu- “Zaboravljeni vrt” i shvatila kakav je to brilijantni um. Resavacete jednu misteriju ubistva, za koju do kraja samih korica imate utisak da znate resenje, ali ce vas neverovatno otkrica sokirati. Prica krece 1959. godine – Tambila, Australija. Ubistvo cetiri odrasle osobe i potencijalno jedne bebe.
4.Sedam muzeva, Tejlor Dzenkins Rid (ocena 8/10)
Roman nas vraca u vremena starog holivuda, budi nostalgiju za proslim vremenom filma i glamura dok istovremeno otkriva njegove surove stvarnosti.
