Embarking on a fitness journey can be both exhilarating and daunting, especially for beginners. I know as I have been there. The moment you realise you need to change something, to switch that mindset towards working out is the day your journey begging. 

I was fortunate to have an amazing girlfriend whose brother had just opened a fitness studio. Kristina, that’s her name. She tirelessly tried to convince me for months, and finally, I caved in. I can’t thank her enough!

As I was not very much an active person at all 10 years ago, but just an introvert who loved to study and read very much, you can imagine my resistance. However, the first reason why I had to embark on fitness journey was my health. Unfortinely, I suffered from sideropenic anemia from the youngest  age and always had it under control. Please bear in mind Iron-deficiency anemia can result in life threatening complications. These life threatening complications occur because the organs cannot function properly when they do not receive enough oxygen and on my 2nd year of colleague I went thought that phase. The journey to recovery spanned about a year, during which I hit pause on numerous activities in my life, including college (which was so devastating for me) and wholeheartedly prioritized my health and well-being.

As now you are familiar with my brief history of WHY I started, I believe you can imagine how I felt. I was incredibly sick and shaky on the first day of workout in that manner I felt ashamed. However, my trainer was and is still the best! He offered me a bit of chocolate with an explanation  why this happened and it’s all part of the process. Wow! There was no judgment rather pure understanding and empathy! Then I realise, I can do this. There are many people that belive in me. I want to do this. I am doing it for my health. For my future. It wasn’t easy at all, it came with a lot of ups and downs, however, that feeling after working out, its something no one can take it away from you! 

Now I am very active person, my mindset totally shifted towards healthier way of life and all thanks to amazing people I had around me! This is why I am writing this article as a motivation to all of you who is having second thoughts about starting on a fitness journey and having no one by your side to motivate you. I am here! I will be your Kristina! 

No more excuses, procrastinations, next Monday etc. Shift your priorities now!  

Telling you I was there, at the beginning. Which is sometimes  the best spot to start as there is only one way moving further, to move up! 

Find some workout that last 10min on youtube, just for beginner or join a fitness classes as that would be my choice since the team will keep you accountable!

Odluciti se da krenete na takozvano fitnes putovanje moze biti uzbudljivo i zastrasujuce, posebno za pocetnike. Znam, jer sam i ja bila tamo. Trenutak kada shvatite da treba nesto promeniti, da preokrenete taj nacin razmisljanja prema treniranju, jeste dan kada vase putovanje pocinje. 

Imala sam srece da imam neverovatnu prijateljicu ciji je brat upravo otvorio fitnes studio. Pokusavala je da me ubedi mesecima i konacno sam popustila. Njeno ime je Kristina. Ne mogu joj dovoljno zahvaliti! 

S obzirom da pre deset godina nisam bila veoma aktivna, vec introvertna osoba koja je volela da uci i provodi dane citajuci, mozete zamisliti moj otpor. Medjutim, pravi i prvi razlog zbog kojeg sam morala zapoceti to fitnes putovanje bio je moje zdravlje. Nazalost, patim od sideropenijske anemije od najranije dobi i uvek sam to drzala pod kontrolom. Imajte na umu da anemija uzrokovana nedostatkom gvozdja moze dovesti do komplikacija opasne po zivot. Ove komplikacije se javljaju jer organi ne mogu pravilno funkcionisati kada ne dobijaju dovoljno kiseonika, i to sam ja dozivela na drugoj godini fakulteta. Proces oporavka je trajao oko godinu dana i morala sam da pauziram sa mnogim aktivnostima i fokusiram se na zdravlje. 

Sada kada znate moju kratku istoriju ZASTO sam pocela, verujem da mozete zamisliti kako sam se osećala. Tako sam bila slaba, iscrpljena i toliko mi je bilo lose prvog dana vezbanja da sam se osecala postidjeno. Medjutim, moj trener je tu pokazao ko je i sta je! I zasto je odlican a i dalje najbolji! Ponudio mi je malo cokolade uz objasnjenje zasto se to desilo i da je sve to zapravo deo procesa. Wow! Nije bilo osuđivanja, vec cisto razumevanje i empatija! Onda sam shvatila, mogu ja ovo. Toliko ljudi veruje u mene. Zelim ovo. Radim ovo zbog svog zdravlja. Za svoju buducnost. Nije bilo lako uopste, doslo je sa mnogo uspona i padova, medjutim, taj osecaj posle vezbanja, to je nesto sto vam niko ne moze oduzeti! Sada sam veoma aktivna osoba, i moje razmisljanje se potpuno prebacilo ka zdravijem nacinu zivota i sve zahvaljujuci neverovatnim ljudima koji su bili uz mene! Zato pisem ovaj clanak kao motivaciju svima vama koji imate sumnje u vezi sa pocetkom fitnes putovanja i nemate nikoga pored sebe da vas motivise. Tu sam ja! Biću vasa Kristina!

Nema vise izgovora, odlaganja, “sledeceg ponedeljka” itd. Napravite prioritete sada! Govorim vam, bila sam tamo, na pocetku. Sto je ponekad i najbolje mesto, jer postoji samo jedan način da idete dalje, a to je da se penjete ka vrhu! Pronadjite neku vezbu koja traje 10 minuta na yt, samo za pocetnike, ili se pridruzite fitnes casovima, jer je to bio moj izbor, posto ce vas tim drzati odgovornim i motivisanim!
